Looking to have a spooky night out on the town? Amp up your Halloween game by treating yourself to one of Birmingham’s historic ghost walks. Here are six that you have to experience.

1. The Birmingham Ghost Walk—Hotels, Churches and Riots

This is one of three ghost walks offered by the Birmingham Historic Touring Company, You’ll be guided through some of the city’s most supernatural sites like the famous Redmont Hotel and Tutwiler Hotel.

You’ve likely been warned to avoid dark alleys, but this ghost walk with the Birmingham Historic Touring Company is the exception. Explore hidden dark alleys and discover incredible tales of Birmingham’s history and its chilling past.

3. Birmingham Ghost Walks—The Ghost and Graveyards Tour

Immerse yourself in this spine-tingling graveyard tour to learn the lore behind Birmingham legends who once walked our historic city and now take rest six feet under. Don’t be surprised if you catch something staring back at you.

4. Birmingham Downtown Ghost Self-Guided Walking Tour

Think of this ghost walk as more of a spooky stroll. This is a self-guided GPS-navigated ghost walk operated by the WalknTours app.

If you like to walk at your own petrifying pace, this tour might be best suited for you. You will explore eight ghostly spots in the Magic City, including the haunted YMCA and Linn Park (seen above).

5. Sloss Historic Night Tours

This tour being when the lights go out. Taking place at the historic Sloss Furnaces, you’ll walk the grounds while hearing lurid tales of when the factory was up and running. This is not a paranormal tour, however, ghosts may or may not linger nearby.
