Amazon is holding a second Prime Day in 2023. The online e-commerce giant announced Prime Big Deal Days is coming in October, which Amazon officials said will be an exclusive shopping event for Prime members featuring “some of Amazon’s best deals of the season.”Prime Big Deal Days will happen in 19 countries, including the U.S., the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. What are Prime Big Deal Days?It’s exactly what it sounds like. Prime Big Deal Days is expected to be a Prime Day-like sales event held exclusively for Prime members, meaning you need an Amazon Prime membership to participate, just like you would for Amazon’s annual Prime Day held in the month of July. Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores, said in a LinkedIn post that Prime members will get access to some of Amazon’s best deals of the season, which likely means that Prime members will be seeing deep discounts on a number of popular products, just like they do during Prime Day. When will Prime Big Deal Days happen?Prime Big Deal Days will take place from Oct. 10 through Oct. 11. The sales event begins at 3 a.m. EST on Oct. 10. This isn’t the first time that Amazon has announced a Prime Day-like sales event to take place ahead of the holiday season. Just last year, Amazon held a Prime Early Access Sale, a two-day Prime Day-like event that spanned from 12 a.m. PST on Oct. 11 through 11:59 PST on Oct. 12.Prime Early Access Sale gave Prime members exclusive early access to holiday deals on items from must-have brands, like Peloton and New Balance, and featured Amazon’s lowest prices of the year on select products from brands like Caudalie, Murad and Philips Sonicare.Prime Early Access Sale also featured Amazon’s first-ever Top 100 list which was a curated selection of some of the best deals from brands like Hasbro, iRobot, KitchenAid and Samsung.Is Prime Big Deal Days like Prime Day?In essence, yes. It will be exclusive to Prime members, spanning 48 hours, and feature deep discounts only Prime members can access to get ahead on their holiday shopping list. "Prime members will have access to deals from independent sellers like Ruggable x Jonathan Adler, Urban Decay Cosmetics, and PicassoTiles," officials said in a press release.
