Two deputies were injured during an arrest Sunday morning in Clay.The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said its deputies were responding to reports of objects being thrown at vehicles on Old Springville Road near Eagle Drive around 7:30 a.m. One of the deputies encountered a man, identified by law enforcement as Vincent Kimbrough, who matched the description given by the victims.After approaching him, deputies say Kimbrough charged and assaulted the deputy. Additional deputies arrived and assisted with the arrest.Two deputies were taken to a nearby hospital after everyone was checked by medical personnel on the scene.
