The Tennessee Titans travel to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 of the 2023 NFL season.

The Titans will be riding a confidence wave after pulling off a shock overtime win over the Chargers this past weekend. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill reminded the world what he’s got by completing 18 out of 22 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns. Whether he can put in a similar performance against a fearsome Browns defense remains to be seen. Derrick Henry added 80 yards and a score.

Meanwhile, the Browns lost their Week 2 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night. Their main concern right now will be how the mitigate the loss of star running back Chubb, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in Pittsburgh.

These two teams last played in 2020 when Cleveland won 41-35 behind Baker Mayfield’s four first-half touchdowns.

Kickoff is at noon CT Sunday at the FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

NFL Week 3 Titans vs. Browns best bet: Titans to win (+140 or better)

These two teams both have strong offensive and defensive fronts and a solid running game, but the Browns just lost their best offensive player in running back Nick Chubb. Sure, Deshaun Watson still has the likes of Amari Cooper and David Njoku, but Chubb’s absence undoubtedly reduces the potency of Cleveland’s offense.

Tennessee is used to winning without elite TB play, but Tannehill was much improved last week and top receiver DeAndre Hopkins looks like he may finally be fit to play a role. The Titans, with Mike Vrabel as head coach, are 22-15-1 against the spread as underdogs, but even the moneyline looks worth a punt here, even given the Browns’ status as one of the league’s best defensive teams so far in 2023.

NFL Week 3 Titans vs. Browns best bet: Under 39.5 (-110 or better)

This game probably won’t be pretty. The team that wins the turnover battle will likely win. The Titans are scoring 21 points and allowing 20 per game so far in 2023, while Cleveland’s offense now needs a significant reshuffle.

Watson wasn’t exactly scintillating in Week 2 even with Chubb starting, and Vrabel and Co. will have a solid game plan for stifling him. The Under has gone 5-1 in the Titans’ last six games and 7-2 in the Browns’ last nine.

NFL Week 3 Titans vs. Browns player prop: Derrick Henry under 71.5 rushing yards (-115 or better)

Titans fans may have expected something a little more regal from King Henry against a lackluster LA Chargers defense in Week 2, but Henry had to settle for 80 yards and a score while Tyjae Spears racked up eight carries and 49 yards.

Based on 2023′s results so far, things are unlikely to get easier for Tennessee or Henry given that Cleveland’s defense has shipped just 65 rushing yards per game, the third-best mark in the NFL so far. Moving the ball against such a miserly defensive line could be a struggle for Henry and Tannehill’s other weaponry. That’s even without factoring in the fact Henry was limited in practice this week with a toe injury. Tannehill may have to utilize other options if Tennessee is to get over the line on multiple occasions.
