'Rally for Recovery' in Birmingham aims to reduce overdoses and support community members

Saturday's "Rally for Recovery" event in Birmingham provided resources to people who are recovering from drug use.Community members were able to connect with churches, recovery centers and the Jefferson County Health Department, which gave out free Naloxone and Fentanyl test strips.Candace Rachel, the Rapid Response Coordinator for Substance Use at the JCHD said they hand out these resources so people can survive an overdose and receive help."Substance use disorder does not define who you are," Rachel said. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

Saturday's "Rally for Recovery" event in Birmingham provided resources to people who are recovering from drug use.
