McCalla man killed in interstate crash in Tuscaloosa County

Alabama State Troopers are investigating a crash that killed a McCalla man Saturday evening in Tuscaloosa County.The two-vehicle happened at 5:05 p.m. on Interstate 59 near the 59-mile marker, approximately two miles south of Foster.Troopers say Jonathan Tarvin, 76, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when it left the interstate and hit a parked 2021 Freightliner tractor-trailer occupied by Justin R. Taylor, 40, of San Antonio, Texas. Tarvin was pronounced dead at the scene. No other information was available the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continues its investigation.
