Hurricane Nigel forecast to intensify with large eye over Central Atlantic

WHEN I WAS DRIVING IN THIS MORNING. I DON’T KNOW IF YOU GUYS SAW THE SAME THING. I WANT TO GET RIGHT OVER TO FIRST WARNING METEOROLOGIST SANDRA SHAW TIMING OUT THESE STORMS AND YOU’RE ALSO CLOSELY TRACKING THE TROPICS. THAT’S RIGHT. AND IT’S ALL KIND OF INTERRELATED BECAUSE WE’RE GETTING THE STORMS UNLEASHING EVERY AFTERNOON BECAUSE OF A STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY. AND IT’S ALONG THAT STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY, THAT LOW PRESSURE WILL FORM EMERGE OFF OF OUR COASTLINE BY THURSDAY OR FRIDAY AND THEN ACTUALLY WILL BE ON THE BETTER SIDE OF IT EVEN IF IT DOES DEVELOP TROPICAL CHARACTERISTICS, WHICH IT DOES HAVE A 30% CHANCE OF DOING, EVEN. AND THEN WE’LL BE ON THE BETTER SIDE BECAUSE MOST OF THE MOISTURE WILL BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF IT. BUT UNTIL THEN, AS THIS LOW IS FORMING, WE’RE VERY ACTIVE. SO YOU CAN SEE ALL THE RAIN SURROUNDING HERE. HERE’S THAT STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY. IT’S REALLY STUBBORN AND THEN LOW DUNES ROAD STARTS TO DEVELOP. THURSDAY MOVES OFF THURSDAY NIGHT, AND THEN IT’S RIGHT OVER OUR VICINITY ON FRIDAY. BUT TAKE A LOOK. YOU CAN SEE THAT THE BULK OF THE MOISTURE IS ON THE RIGHT AND THE EAST SIDE OF IT, WHICH IS TYPICAL WITH TROPICAL OR SUBTROPICAL SYSTEMS. AND SO WITH LOW PRESSURE IN GENERAL MOVING COUNTERCLOCKWISE, WE SHOULD BE STARTING TO CLEAR BY FRIDAY AND INTO THE WEEKEND. THAT’S THE GOOD NEWS. WITH THAT SAID, WE’RE ACTIVE THIS MORNING. WE JUST HAVE THIS FLOOD ADVISORY THAT’S GETTING READY TO EXPIRE UP NEAR FORT PIERCE. IT SAID IT WAS GOING TO EXPIRE AT 430, SO THAT’LL BE TAKEN OFF IN A MINUTE, RIGHT ON THE COASTLINE. AND THIS IS WHERE YOU SEE ALL THE LIGHTNING WITH THE LIGHT SHOW, AARON WAS MENTIONING. AND THEN HERE JUST OFF SHORE, AROUND THE GARDENS, THERE’S A LITTLE RAIN AS WELL. SO A GOOD COVERAGE IMPACT WEATHER DAY TO DAY AGAIN FOR SOUTH FLORIDA. FLOODING IS THE BIG RISK, BUT LOTS OF LIGHTNING AND SOME HIGH WIND GUSTS AS WELL. WE’LL PUT THE IMPACT WEATHER ICONS UP FOR TEQUESTA. FOR INSTANCE, AT ABOUT 1:00 UNTIL ABOUT 6:00 TONIGHT
