Higher coverage of rain next few days, less humid next week

APP, EXCLUSIVE LIVE RADAR TRACKING STORMS. SO YOU’LL KNOW. FIRST, THIS IS WVTM 13 WEATHER. A LOT OF CLOUD COVER OUT THERE FOR OUR THURSDAY THAT’S HELPED KEEP TEMPERATURES DOWN THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON. THAT’S THE VIEW RIGHT NOW. EASTERN TUSCALOOSA COUNTY AS WE TAKE A LOOK BACK TOWARD THE WEST, THERE HAVE BEEN SOME INSTANCES OF SPRINKLES OR VERY LIGHT SHOWERS FALLING FROM THOSE CLOUDS, BUT YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE HIGHER MOISTURE, THE BETTER CHANCE AND COVERAGE OF STORMS TODAY HAS BEEN WELL OFF TO OUR EAST OVER THE STATE OF GEORGIA. SOME OF THAT MOISTURE, THOUGH, RETURNS BACK TO THE WEST TOMORROW AND THAT PROVIDES BETTER RAIN CHANCES FOR US. YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS AND OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, REALLY NOT EXPECTING MUCH, IF ANY, RAIN OUT THERE. THE BULK OF THE RAIN STILL OFF TO OUR EAST TOMORROW MORNING. BUT TOMORROW AFTERNOON, SOME OF THAT BUILDS BACK WEST. AND SO WE’LL PUT A CHANCE FOR SOME WIDELY SCATTERED POP-UP SHOWERS AND STORMS IN THE FORECAST FOR OUR FRIDAY AFTERNOON. I THINK EVEN BETTER RAIN CHANCES, BETTER COVERAGE OF RAIN FOR SATURDAY COULD BE AN ISSUE FOR SOME OF THE COLLEGE GAMES. UAB GAME, ALSO THE AUBURN SAMFORD GAME AS WE MOVE THROUGH SATURDAY WITH SOME OF THOSE POP UP SHOWERS AND STORMS POSSIBLE AND A LOT OF MOISTURE AROUND THROUGH SATURDAY, SATURDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY, YOU CAN SEE THAT KIND OF IN THE SHADES OF GREEN AND ORANGE HERE ON THE MAP. BUT LOOK WHAT HAPPENS AS WE MOVE THROUGH SUNDAY. FRONT MOVES THROUGH BIG, BIG PUSH OF DRIER, LESS HUMID AIR, QUICKLY WORKING IN FROM THE NORTH AND WEST. SO WE SAY GOODBYE TO THE RAIN CHANCES FOR MONDAY AND WE SAY HELLO TO THAT LOWER HUMIDITY AND MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE AIR. ESPECIALLY NOTICE THAT IN THE MORNINGS. ALL RIGHT, LET’S CHANGE GEARS, TALK ABOUT THE TROPICS. HURRICANE LEE, 85 MILE AN HOUR WINDS RIGHT NOW MOVING NORTH AT 15. AGAIN, MAJOR IMPACTS EXPECTED FOR NEW ENGLAND, NOVA SCOTIA, AS THIS TRANSITIONS TO AN EXTRATROPICAL VERY STRONG EXTRATROPICAL STORM OVER THE WEEKEND. SO WE TALKED ABOUT THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES. THE ALABAMA GAME THAT’S IN TAMPA, LIKELY DEALING WITH POP-UP THUNDERSTORMS DOWN THERE IN THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS COULD CAUSE SOME WEATHER DELAYS OUTSIDE OF STORMS. VERY HOT, 92 HEAT INDEX AROUND 100. AUBURN AT HOME AGAINST SANFORD. THERE’S A CHANCE FOR A FEW SHOWERS TO KICK OFF, 77, 72 FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER OF THAT ONE. AND LIKE I MENTIONED, THE UAB GAME AT HOME AT PROTECTIVE COULD SEE A FEW SHOWERS AROUND LEADING UP TO THE GAME, PERHAPS AROUND KICKOFF TIME. RAIN CHANCES STARTING TO COME DOWN FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER THERE. 72 DEGREES, STILL A LITTLE MUGGY, BUT AT LEAST COOLER FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER OF THAT CONTEST. THERE’S OUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST, SCATTERED SHOWERS, A FEW STORMS THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY. WE DRY OUT SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THAT BIG PUSH OF DRIER AIR AND LOWER HUMIDITY, NIGHTTIME LOWS, UPPE
