PASTOR OF COLLECTIVE, HIS CHURCH BEEN, NELSON SAYS HE BELIEVES THIS DISPLAY WILL BE A MEANINGFUL AND IMPACTFUL WAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO END THE SEASON OF LENT AND CELEBRATE EASTER. AND EACH OF THESE PICTURES, IT IS IT’S A DEEP LOOK AND REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS OF HOW WE CAN JOURNEY WITH CHRIST AND NOT JUST CELEBRATE THE RESURRECTION, BUT LEARN HOW HE TOOK ON THE CROSS FOR US AS WELL. NOW, NELSON SAYS ALSO THIS CAN PROVIDE A UNIQUE, PROFOUND WAY FOR THE CALERA COMMUNITY TO CONNECT WITH GOD DURING THIS HOLY SEASON. Collectivus church is preparing for Easter weekend. The church is proclaiming the Gospel with outdoor artwork in the heart of Calera. The 12 pieces called Stations in the Streets are displaying Jesus’ final steps to the cross and showcase the depths of human suffering.The artwork is by Scott Erickson. It's also displaying a powerful reminder of the human experience and the overwhelming compassion of Christ. Pastor of Collectivus church, Ben Nelson, said he believes this display will be a meaningful and impactful way for our community to end the season of Lent and celebrate Easter.“I hope, like all art, it brings up some emotion and it demands a response and I think all of us have to respond to good art. I think it’s going to demand a response,” Nelson said.Nelson says also this can provide a unique and profound way for the Calera community to connect with god during this holy season. The church will be having a Good Friday communion service and an Easter service weekend as well. They expected a big crowd this weekend.

Collectivus church is preparing for Easter weekend. The church is proclaiming the Gospel with outdoor artwork in the heart of Calera.
