NOW, WHAT WE KNOW IS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE SURPRISED TO SEE THIS DAMAGE AFTER LEARNING THAT 18 YEAR OLD ISAIAH COLEMAN NOW SITS IN THE JEFFERSON COUNTY JAIL AFTER HE WAS ARRESTED. THIS MORNING, SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES SAY HE RECEIVED STOLEN PROPERTY AND WAS TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM POLICE DURING THE CHASE. BUT HE ALSO HAD A WARRANT FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER OUT FOR HIS ARREST FROM A SHOOTING EARLIER THIS MONTH. NOW, LET’S WALK YOU THROUGH THE TIMELINE OF WHAT HAPPENED AND LED UP TO HIS ARREST. THE JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TELLS US THAT THIS ALL STARTED WHEN THEY GOT CALLS OF PEOPLE DRIVING THROUGH A MCCULLOUGH NEIGHBORHOOD. DEPUTIES SAY THE CALLER TOLD THEM THEY WERE BREAKING IN VEHICLES. WITHIN FIVE MINUTES, DEPUTIES LOCATED THE SUSPECTS AND THE FORD F-150. THEY WERE DRIVING AND TRIED TO STOP THEM, BUT THE DRIVER REFUSED, TRYING TO GET AWAY. AND NOW THE PURSUIT ENDED HERE IN FIVE POINTS WEST IN BIRMINGHAM AT THIS WELLS FARGO, WHERE THE DRIVER TRIED TO GET AWAY FROM POLICE AND LOST CONTROL. AND HIT THE BANK. NOW, WHAT WE DO KNOW IS THAT THERE WERE TWO OTHER PEOPLE IN THE CAR, TWO YOUNG JUVENILES THAT WERE IN THE CAR WITH A HIS LAST NAME IS COLEMAN. THEY WERE IN THE CAR WITH HIM AT THE TIME. WE DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE CHARGED WITH. BUT ISAIAH COLEMAN DOES SIT IN THE JEFFERSON COUNTY JAIL TONIGHT AND HIS BOND IS $108,000. An 18-year-old and two youths are in custody Saturday after leading sheriff's deputies on an early morning chase and crashing into a bank ATM.The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office said that deputies were called just after 6 a.m. to check out some people who were driving through a neighborhood near Big Sky Cove in McCalla. The caller said the people were breaking into vehicles and gave a description of the suspects and their Ford F-150 pickup.About five minutes later, deputies located the suspects' truck and attempted to make a stop but the driver refused to stop and took off.During the pursuit, the driver tried to maneuver through the Wells Fargo Bank drive-through on Bessemer Road but lost control of the truck and crashed into the ATM. The impact broke a concrete support in half.Deputies arrested Isiah Coleman and two juveniles.Investigators learned that Coleman had outstanding warrants associated with a shooting in Fairfield on September 2.He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Bessemer on existing charges of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied building. MCCALLA, Ala. —

An 18-year-old and two youths are in custody Saturday after leading sheriff's deputies on an early morning chase and crashing into a bank ATM.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office said that deputies were called just after 6 a.m. to check out some people who were driving through a neighborhood near Big Sky Cove in McCalla. The caller said the people were breaking into vehicles and gave a description of the suspects and their Ford F-150 pickup.

About five minutes later, deputies located the suspects' truck and attempted to make a stop but the driver refused to stop and took off.

During the pursuit, the driver tried to maneuver through the Wells Fargo Bank drive-through on Bessemer Road but lost control of the truck and crashed into the ATM. The impact broke a concrete support in half.

Deputies arrested Isiah Coleman and two juveniles.

Investigators learned that Coleman had outstanding warrants associated with a shooting in Fairfield on September 2.
