Authorities searching for escaped Alabama inmate
Christopher Bates left his work release assignment in Gulf Shores Wednesday morning.
The Alabama Department of Corrections has reported an escaped inmate Wednesday from south Alabama.Officials say that Christopher Ivy Bates, 34, left his work release assignment in Gulf Shores around 10:41 a.m. and changed out of his uniform into unknown clothing.Bates is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes.He has a number of tattoos, including RTNK Michelle, RIP Mark, SELF, LTNK Dianna, RIP Mike, Made, CTNK Hard 2 Kill, LUBI Jatlyn, CTST MOB Town, RMBI Praying hands, RFFA Block Bleeds, Loved By Few, LIFA Chasser $, LTFA, Darrin Jr., and $.Bates is serving a 20-year sentence at the Loxley CBF/CWC for a robbery in Mobile.If you see him or have information about his location, you are asked to call ADOC at 1-800-831-8825.
