2 killed in fiery head-on crash in Cullman County

It happened Saturday morning about eight miles south of Hanceville.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating a crash that killed two drivers early Saturday morning in Cullman County.It happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Alabama 91 about eight miles south of Hanceville.Troopers say Sydni M. Helms, 22, of Jasper, was killed when the 2014 Jeep Wrangler she was driving collided head-on with the 2017 Chrysler 300. Both vehicles caught fire after the crash and Helms was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the Chrysler was also killed but that person's name was not known at the time of the report and will be determined by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences. ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the accident.
