2 arrested after police chase in Moody

A man and woman were in custody after leading police in a chase on April 3.Moody police Chief Reece Smith said officers conducted a traffic stop of an SUV Monday afternoon when the driver took off and led police in a chase down Highway 411.Chief Smith said the SUV went off the road and got stuck on Stuart Drive.The driver and passenger were arrested and face charges, including attempting to elude.The chief said Taraoasis Johnson, the passenger, also had an outstanding felony warrant out of Jefferson County.The driver, Jada Nevett, of Bessemer, also had a marijuana possession charge from the weekend.No injuries were reported.

A man and woman were in custody after leading police in a chase on April 3.

Moody police Chief Reece Smith said officers conducted a traffic stop of an SUV Monday afternoon when the driver took off and led police in a chase down Highway 411.

Chief Smith said the SUV went off the road and got stuck on Stuart Drive.

The driver and passenger were arrested and face charges, including attempting to elude.

The chief said Taraoasis Johnson, the passenger, also had an outstanding felony warrant out of Jefferson County.

The driver, Jada Nevett, of Bessemer, also had a marijuana possession charge from the weekend.

No injuries were reported.
